Well hello there lovelies..

Yes, I’m updating you all on what has happened so far.

My Mom’s cancer is a lymph node-seeking cancer, so it has spread to her left armpit, but other that that, it hasn’t really gone anywhere. She’s still doing fine, no better no worse.

Thank you all for your love and support<3

And here is a picture of Apricot’s one true love, Citrine Shine.. Who lost her battle to cancer.

I may start a new story this summer if time permits. Not a legacy, but an idea I’ve wanted to write about for a while. Keep checking back for more little updates!

Once again, thank you all. You all are truly kind people.

<3333 Erin

An unexpected, but sad farewell nevertheless…

To my dear readers, both lurkers and good friends…

Recently, as you all know, I ran into some technical issues. I was determined, however to beat my computer and I won. ^-^ But not long after I got back to work, my family encountered a very bad piece of news. My Mother has been diagnosed with Melanoma, the most deadly and aggressive skin cancer. We want nothing but good thoughts and energy coming her way, so I have decided to end The Bliss Family Legacy to allow myself to be fully devoted to my Mom in these hard times ahead. Being a 16 year old, this is tough, but like I said, no negative energy! Only hope.

I’m not leaving y’all completely high-and-dry! Being the planning freak that I am, all the future Gen. plots have already been created. So without further ado, here is the story of the Bliss Family.

Apricot Savor Bliss~ Apricot had a girlfriend named Freesia, who was loud, hardy and fun. Apricot was having a harder and harder time keeping up with her as high school progressed. She continued to party, drink and smoke with a bad crowd and progressively turned nastier and nastier, but Apricot was determined to stay with the girl he loved. At the peak of her ruthlessness, Apricot met the sarcastic and resigned Citrine Shine, who was incredibly skinny and had a malnourished look about her. Citrine kept to herself at school, only ever talking to her twin sister (who looked noticeably healthier.) Apricot began to fall for Citrine, breaking up with Freesia (Who started a nasty fight,) for her. Citrine had a thirst for life unlike anything Apricot had ever known; She was adventurous, headstrong and funny. They stayed together through high school and moved in together, ready to start a life with each other, when Citrine’s health began to decline. She finally told him that she had leukemia, and the doctor recently diagnosed it as terminal. Apricot and Citrine braved her illness together, and their love for each other never went out. Citrine Shine passed away at the age of 24. Apricot never forgot his beautiful angel, and grieved for her even after his marriage to her sister and protector, Daisy Shine. They shared the pain of her death together, eventually learning to love one another. They had one beautiful daughter, who looked just like her mother and aunt. They named her Citrine Shine.
~
Citrine Shine Bliss~ Citrine grew up aware of her parents’ unique situation. She knew her father loved her Mother, but he also loved her Mother’s sister, who died years before she was born. This knowledge weighed heavily on her, and it didn’t help that her tiny stature made her an easy target for bullying from both boys and girls. She grew up believing that she was supposed to be bullied as punishment for her father not completely loving her mother, so naturally she never told them about her abuse. It escalated into high school as one of her teachers began to abuse her as well, both physically and mentally, manipulating her into believing she needed him. It stayed this way until her senior year of high school, when she met Forrest Palm, a shy, soft-spoken boy who was bullied, not to the same extent, like her. She began to trust him, confiding in him what exactly was happening to her, and Forrest slowly helped her realize that she didn’t deserve what was happening to her. He gave her the courage to eventually stand up to her peers, tell her parents, and take her abusive teacher to court. She won with the support of her family, peers and Forrest. Citrine married Forrest and became an anti-abuse and bullying spokeswoman. She and Forrest had two children, one boy and one girl. The boy was named Moss Glade and the girl was Everest.

Everest Bliss~ When Everest was 13, she was traveling with her family to Al Samosa, Egypt for one of her Mother’s seminars. She was walking down a crowded road with her family, exploring the alien city, when she was grabbed by a tall man, and whisked away from life as she knew it. The man took her to his home, where he locked her in a basement, and kept her there for about a day. She was hungry and terrified when he came down the next day. He threw her a roll of bread and explained to her in broken English that he had been payed a lot of money in exchange for her services to another family in Al Samosa, and that she would be leaving the next day to begin working for them as a slave. She was shipped off to the new family as promised, and so began her five dark years as a child slave. Her masters explained to her that she was not to leave the house, use their facilities or associate with their two children. She slept for five hours a night in a shed in their back yard and was often beaten for doing something wrong. She craved her childhood and human affection so much, that she began to have suicidal thoughts. Five years had passed when she finally tried to slit her own wrists with a kitchen knife, and her masters found her and rushed her to a hospital to try to save the life of their valuable slave. She awoke in a hospital bed to the worried and gaunt faces of her family. After her masters had checked her into the hospital, she had been identified as the missing American girl, and her family had been notified, immediately flying them out to Egypt. Everest came home and immersed herself in her studies, catching the eye of a young teacher aid. They were married and had two daughters and one son. Calypso Tide, Sapphire Song, and Skye.
~
Calypso Tide Bliss~ Calypso knew at an early age that she wanted to join the Military, and after high school was over, she jumped at the chance. She was deployed to the middle east, and after months of brutal training, she was placed on the front line. Army life was hard for a girl, but she found comfort in her hometown friend and lover, Grape Selago. The fact that they were in the same squadron made it easy for them to be together, until Calypso began to fall for their commander, Sergeant Windsor. Grape wasn’t stupid, and saw the attraction between the two. He angrily ended the relationship and friendship with Calypso, making it much harder for the squadron to work well because of their refusal to communicate with each other. Not long after, their squadron, lead by Sergeant Windsor, was sent on a routine air-raid, when their chopper was shot down by an undetected sniper. Only Calypso, Grape and the Sergeant survived. They awoke to find themselves in enemy captivity, and underwent three days of torture to get them to reveal military secrets, to which none of them yielded. At the end of the third day, they heard gunshots and loud voices, and realized a rescue party had been sent. Their captors, in a panic, dragged them farther into the compound, and all three knew they were about to be killed. Calypso, with tears in her eyes, bid a solemn farewell to the two battered men sitting tied up next to her. She cried as they first dragged off Windsor, and wailed as they struggled to subdue, Grape. She realized that she had always loved him, even as a young teenager when they first met. She screamed this at him above the noise of fighting and gunfire above them. Her last image of her one true love was as he told her he had always loved her as they hauled him around the corner. Before the men could return to drag her off to her demise, she heard a giant explosion: The rescue party made it through the barricade and sprinted over to her. They told her that while Sergeant Windsor had died nobly and quietly, Grape had used the last of his strength to fight their captors buying time for the rescue party to make it through and rescue her. As soon as he heard the explosion signaling the rescuers had arrived, he knew she would be kept safe, and succumbed to the wave of executioners. It wasn’t until she was safe back home that she learned she was pregnant with Grape’s child, a sweet baby girl by the name of Chatelle Wisp.
~
Chatelle Wisp~ Chatelle grew up without a father, and because of that she had a different childhood than most. She fell in with a bad crowd, drinking and partying, ignoring her studies, and had gained a reputation at school for being “all too willing” to be with a guy. On top of all of that, she developed an eating disorder, anorexia, and began self-harming. Her life remained a constant blur of good and bad, heartache and love, and depression and happiness. Her mother, who had become quite worried about her daughter, had no choice but to step in and send her to a mental and physical health resort. Chatelle was too resentful to see how much it tore her mother apart to send her away, and truly believed she had been sent to the loony bin, not a lovely place devoted to making her better. Slowly, she began to come out of her shell, and began to open up about the pain it brought her knowing that she had never met her father, and that she was different from others. Chatelle came home after eight months, and greeted her mother with tears in her eyes. She was proud of what she’d overcome, and knew that she was a better person now, both mentally, physically, and spiritually. She kept in contact with a boy she had met at the resort, named Onyx, who had lost his parents only a year earlier. They were eventually married and had a boy named Obsidian Dusk and a girl named Galaxy Rise.
~
Galaxy Rise~ Galaxy and her best friend, a girl named Cherry Noir, had been inseparable since the day they met in kindergarten. They did everything together and never fought or grew tired of each other. In high school, however, they began to realize that their feelings of friendship towards each other went deeper, and that they were indeed, in love with each other. Both had been scared of the repercussions of their feelings for each other, and so they hid their feelings from the world, and themselves. But Galaxy wasn’t okay with hiding her love from the world, so after much coercing she was able to convince Cherry to run for Prom Queen and Queen with her. (Both of them were very girly, and neither wanted to be called a “King.”) After months of stress and emotional preparation, they attended prom together, and won the title of Queen and Queen. The whole school cheered and not a single negative comment was ever thrown their way. Several years after graduation they left Sugar Valley and went to Briocheport to get married. The ceremony was large and beautiful, with all of their friends and both families in attendance. They adopted a little boy two years after who was named Bronze Malta. One fine summer day, Galaxy discovered an old cardboard box on their doorstep. Upon opening it, she found an old piece of paper with faded but legible writing on it:To the girl who was never afraid to stand up for what she believed in,
You truly are a Bliss.
Signed,
Sugar Berry, Snow Petal, Strawberry, Apricot, Citrine, Everest, Calypso and Chatelle
Galaxy never asked her mother about the letter, but she looked at it every day, and kept it with her for the rest of her long, happy life.

~~~
And with that, I say goodbye to you my dear friends. Maybe one day I’ll come back, after all is said and done.
But for the meantime, live well, laugh often, and love much.
From our heart of hearts, we thank you, and hope you keep the Bliss Family in your hearts as well.Love,
Crazy (Erin,) BeeBee, Snowie, Strawberry, Apricot, Citrine, Everest, Calypso, Chatelle and Galaxy
